Out past refuse transfer station and cell tower.
The willard Springs Rd. exit turns into FS road 253. You can also access FS road 253 from the Newman Park Rd. exit a few miles further north on I-17. I'm getting great T-Mobile 5G reception here and all along I-17 within 25 miles of Flagstaff. There is some trash, but not too bad. There are tall ponderosa pines and quite a few oaks. There is plenty of firewood on the ground. Very busy this Labor Day weekend Everyone has been nice. Occasionally, there are ATVs and dune buggies. Dig friendly plenty of shady spots. And a few good sunny spots
Nothing fancy here. But tons of spots. Roads are rough so I had to drive really slow but found plenty of options driving my Ford Transit Connect. If you have heftier tires and 4x4, options would be endless. There were a lot of people here but still able to spread out for privacy.
Not sure why... Tried Schnebly too and also closed :(
Closed for winter
Wish we stayed longer - so beautiful! Pine forests are our favorite and there is so much space here. Maybe only 5 other campers or so! Roads to get here are very manageable for big rigs. No facilities but great cell service for verizon!
Lots of cows as neighbors. Beautiful, peaceful place. Tons of space, shade trees and sun. Great T-Mobile reception.
Many peaceful spots off of Forest service Road. Weekends can be busy with quads and city people. Good cell service for Verizon. Some spots can be dusty.
