FS road is maintained about 1/2 mile in and there are several flat spots large enough for 30’ RV. All sites are primitive with rock fire pits. Further up the road for the next 1-1.5 miles the gradient increases sharply and 4WD is recommended. Plenty of primitive sites available with rock fire pits, mountain streams, and tree cover. Make note of any current fire bans in the area. At the top of the road is a radio tower and turnaround, you’ll find a few spots up here that can accommodate a sprinter van or SUV with tent. Verizon LTE is available here, somehow.
Beautiful views and wildflowers. Please be kind and avoid driving off road to make your own spots. Saw people drive their rig on the hillside after the sites were full even though there was enough space to park it on the road.
Arrived late, dirt road had numerous potholes but nothing my front wheel drive kia soul couldn't handle. There were a few different campsites and barely anyone around. Gorgeous views to wake up to the next morning!
Last minute decision to pull down this road. Found many campsites and very little people. Quiet and pristine with excellent views from the top by the radio tower.
