Road in is dirt with 6-15 campsites. Max RV length is 25 feet
We pulled in here late on a Monday evening in Sept. and only saw one other rig. There was plenty of space around them, but we ventured a little further and found our own area not far down the road. Didn't hear a single car pass by all night and we weren't bothered by bugs or animals. Perfect spot for primitive campers visiting the North Rim!
This ground is free and just a short distance from North Rim of the Great Canyon. It's a no- brainer for anyone looking to camp near by. At night it was too cold for mosquitos and it took a few hours for the day to heat up. This location was one of very few where we didn't wake up in out tent to the sounds of coyotes at 3am. There is plenty of wood around for bonfire and flies only became a problem in the heat of late morning, as did some weird beetle that flies. The campsite is not too far of a small roadway so there are occasional car sounds. People weren't very close to us and we had tons of room around us. Easy to drive the roads in my 2wd Honda Coupe. Would definitely recommend this spot, just leave in the morning while it's still cool so you don't meet the bugs.
