Good spot with decent night skies

We stopped and setup tents a little before little Blair valley. Night sky was alright, but couldn’t see the Milky Way, so not dark enough for that. Probably a Bortle 5. Got up in the morning and went all the way until the end of the road on maps (Apple or Google) on our 2WD, was doable.

Campsite itself was very nice. The place we found had a man made but multiple time used fire pit. Great sunset and sunrise, you have the chance to have as much or as little company around you. Little bit of trash at our site that we picked up.

Leave no trace!

Tried to go 1/16/2021 - closed

This site is beautiful, but did have a bunch of signs up saying it was closed due to COVID-19. However there is a dirt road turn off about 2-3 miles before you reach Blair Valley coming from Hwy 78 with 4 beautiful turn outs. No 4x4 required. Will try to add that site to this app!

Amazing Camp - Breathtaking Views

This is a great spot to come if you're new to camping on dispersed grounds. The roads aren't too crazy and there's plenty of people around to help if you need it. All the people staying here over New Years were very respectful. Very good spot for large groups and lots of pockets and corners to find a private spot. The bushes do a great job of concealing your campground. Please keep this place clean and don't damage the plants or wildlife.

cool campsite

campsite is located in valley. there is no water and electricity hookups , but there is bathrooms, though only 2. but a lots of 4x4 trails and cool historical sites. You are welcome to camp anywhere as long you don't damage bushes and other plants. Its peaceful because campsite it big and nobody is around you
